Multiwavelength Monitoring of Active Galactic Nuclei Bradley M. Peterson$^1$ The inner structure of AGNs can be explored on the smallest scales by multiwavelength monitoring. While results to date show the promise of this approach, future progress will require dedicated facilities, such as the {\it Kronos} concept that is being proposed to NASA for flight during the period that {\it MAXI} will be operational. {\it MAXI} and {\it Kronos} have highly complementary capabilities and together provide a powerful means of effective multiwavelength monitoring of AGNs and targets of opportunity.
