Nikko is a historic and scenic town at 150 km north of Tokyo. Two
railroad lines, JR and Tobu, provide service from Tokyo area to Nikko.
Tobu line is more economical than JR.

 -----------------------------------
        http://www.tobu.co.jp/english/sight/time_a1.html

Tobu Nikko line starts from Asakusa station. Asakusa can be
reached using subway Ginza line or subway Asakusa line. How to get to
Asakusa is shown below.

At the Tobu Asakusa station, take Rapid, Express, or Limited Express
bound for Nikko or Kinugawa-Onsen/Shinfujiwara/Aizu-Tajima. In some
trains you need to transfer at Shimo-Imaichi station.

The rail fare from Asakusa to Nikko is 1320 yen. Seat assignment
ticket with surcharge is required for Express (1220 yen) and Limited
Express (1440 yen), and it can be purchased at a travel agent or at the
ticket counters on the ground floor of Asakusa station.
